Threadlike Eria is an epiphytic orchid with pseudobulbs 1.5 cm in diameter. Leaves are 3 or 4, 5-7 x 1 cm, inverted-lanceshaped, tip blunt with a tiny point. Flowers are borne in racemes up to 10 cm long. Flowers are greenish-yellow, sepals nearly similar, lanceshaped, long-pointed, margins with stalked glands, 3-veined. Petals are slightly, narrower than sepals, lip 3 x 1 mm, sickel-shaped panduriform, minutely papillate. Disc has 2 thick yellowish orange ridges. Threadlike Eria is found in Western Ghats. Flowering: September-December.
